life

I hope you enjoyed a little update in pictures. Life has been a whirlwind this last month or so. With the temple and Richard moving in with us and the holidays and working and school-- this time is just flying by.

For Thanksgiving, I had the day off but JR had to work up at the Grub. So Richard and I went up there to help. They just did turkey dinners to go and pies. Then we ate Thanksgiving at my grandparents house with my family. It was a good time. It was just nice to relax and eat food and be with family. We missed my brother who was still in Saudi Arabia (for work). We went up to visit more of JR's family that night then came home and cooked another Thanksgiving meal. JR really wanted a smoked turkey, so he got one. Cooked that and made homemade stuffing. I made the mistake of taking leftovers to work the next day....let's just say I do not need to eat turkey again until next year! I always really enjoy Thanksgiving. It's a good reminder for us to remember all we are thankful for. I am thankful for JR, Tank, my family, food and the church!

In other news, I got a new calling in church. I'll be released as a Sunday School teacher and will now be in the Young Women's as the Personal Progress advisor. I am super excited about this. I know I'm old and married, but Relief Society just isn't my thing. haha. I'm even more excited that I am released from teaching Sunday School. It's been a good experience for me, but it's just hard. I only would teach a little from the scriptures and I liked to have more discussion on the concept of the lesson. I find it to be less boring that way. I am teaching one last time this Sunday.

Lastly, I am so excited for Christmas. We will be celebrating early with my family on the 19th and with Sondra and Cynthia and more of the Snow's on the 23rd. Then we will be off to Georgia for the rest of the holidays. I am just so excited for vacation and to see more family! I only have to work about 60 hours this week then I am home free!! So excited! And I am so proud of JR. He is finishing up his classes and finals this week and he has been working so hard.

I hate writing a ton but it had been a while, so thanks for reading my blog! Here is a picture from the day we took out our endowments, and of the dress I bought just for that day. ;) because I can...

And that is not a baby bump...I'm just chubby.

Hope you all are enjoying your holidays.
